SE MT | With the increasing emissions regs and cost associated with the newer turbo diesels, folks have been looking more and more at gas.
Ford announced a Big Block gas engine will be available for their 2020 heavy duty line and med duty trucks.
This engine is built stout! Turbo diesel technology without the diesel part. Have not announced power yet, but they say it will be between their current 6.2 and 6.7 turbo diesel
They were also able to do it without overhead cams, (pushrod v8) or direct injection (has port injection) ans still meet emissions.
There's things about ford I don't like, but the fact they are producing what customers are asking for says alot-
