SC KS | I variably applied 10-34-0 and 0-0-14 last year ahead of corn planting with my strip tiller. Its a Krause Gladiator that I had set to deposit the liquid fertilizer ~5 inches below soil surface, thus 3 inches below seed. I unhooked from strip tiller and started planting. On my sandiest areas of the field I applied 47-53 gal/ac of 0-0-14. These same areas seemed to be stunted and suffering all season from burnt roots. All my nitrogen went on throughout the season as 32-0-0 through our pivot. I know its to late to change 18, but was wondering if my K levels were to high and kept my roots stressed all summer. | |
