Subject: Calcium IV -- Milk vein or Jugular?

Madison Co. Virginia
I've always heard you're supposed to use a jugular vein to administer calcium to milk fever cows. I've never learned how to find the jugular, but the milk vein is easy to find and big. Just jab and go. Is there any good reason to learn how to find the jugular? Does it give a quicker safer response?
