Subject: Yield mapping software

SC Illinois
I have recently purchased an Ag leader yield monitor and paired it temporarily with a used Insight display (autoswath unlocked) with the intent to move up to a Versa display. My current goal is to get some yield data for record keeping purposes but am very interested in seeing the change in yield across the field. My next move will be WAAS auto steer and automatic shutoffs on our sprayer once funds are allocated to do so. My Third goal in the future is to use my display to map seed population for doubles and skips in lieu of my current computrak 250. At this time that is my only intent.

My question is what software should I start out with that will allow me to yield map and easily store and view data. I may get more involved later but at this time those are my main goals. I would think one of the free software packages would suffice for my fairly generic needs. Is one free program better than the other? If so why? any recommendations? Thanks
