. | I was surprised and honored to be one a select few of the general public to get a sneak peak of the new Marshfield Clinic Hospital/Cancer Center being built. It raised quite a ruckus among the two current hospitals in Eau Claire where it is located; one being owned by Mayo Health Care. Neither was thrilled with competition coming in and there was a nasty split between the cancer center and Sacred Heart Hospital.
They razed the old hotel back in January and the new cancer center is set to open in less than 1 month. It's been 7 years since John passed away and some of the new technology and features they showed us blew me away. The incredible precision they can now target tumors with their new linear accelerator means more radiation to a more precise spot.
I have nothing but good things to say about how they operate the cancer center. Hope I never need it myself, but I would strongly recommend it to anyone in the upper Midwest needing such services. | |
