| I am trying to wrap my head around what I saw and make sense of it.
Race with 6 laps to go and your leading all day. yellow flag comes out. it obviously takes a few laps to get going so you KNOW its going to be a 2 lap green to checker finish. So you pit for 2 tires and give up the lead,,,back to 5th or so where you cant fight thru the front to win any way you cut it.
IF he had stayed out,got a good restart and lead even a little he should be able to ward off a 2 lap dash or at least have a better chance. He was running better up front than behind. Why pit for 2 tires with TWO laps to go in the race??? AND GIVE UP THE LEAD??? | |
