Westconsin | Had first calf of the year yesterday (13 days early), a nice sized Churchill Red Bull heifer out of our best heifer, a beautiful uddered Cracker Jack. Try not to pamper them too much, but was around 0 degrees when she was born outside. Half day inside at those temps to gather her bearings never hurts, in my opinion. In terms of vigor and pigment, she's exactly what I'm aiming for. Always like seeing everyone's pics, so thought I would share one. Happy and successful calving 2017 to everyone.
