Subject: Crop lifter spacing

Kindersley Sk.
I harvest Lentils, Wheat, Barley and Mustard. The last few years I've been using crop lifters on a Honey Bee Draper spaced at 12 inches. And I leave the lifters on for all but the Mustard (worried about shattering). I think the spacings is a bit wide for the lentils and I would like to drop it down to 9". Does anyone run at a narrow spacing like this? Could I leave them at 9" for all the other crops too? Your thoughts.

Thanks.
