I have noticed on some replies to a post, there is no text in the body of the post. Just a "." - a single period. Am I not seeing the words, or have those words been removed by a moderator?

Today this has happened on the Neighbor comes home to find girlfriend shot dead thread. Both cih1660 and Wayne A replies only show a period.
