Eastern Iowa | ...and can't find them anywhere to mount on an H8060 New Holland windrower. New drapers run $30K and up and start at 30 feet going upward from there, just not cost efficient for a guy who typically has around 50 acres of small grains. Do you think you could modify an older small combine draper header to put on the machine to cut wheat and oats, or would modifying an auger/sickle header be easier? I'm just thinking the combine header will be too heavy, but there isn't much room for draper belts in a sickle header once you remove the auger either, unless one were to stretch the frame. | |
