Subject: Prepping the Steiger for tile plow

NE S.Dakota

We decided to repurpose our Steiger ST270 to a Mounted Wayens tile plow. The Cougar has been serving us for 20 years, and has always had some play in the drawbar area, forthe tile plow application it was time to get that slack fixed. It was worse than I expected once we got it apart. The uni ball on the front of the drawbar had worn quite a bit. We had never had this apart, but it had been apart previous to our ownership. Well, I had them take off the roller for the swinging bar, and add 1 inch of steel to the top, since the tile plow will push up on a hard pull. Here are some pics of the project.
