Alberta, Canada | My one baler has been missing the odd tie only on the one side. It can miss a tie then keep on baling an hr. with no problems It seems though it happens when it goes through a low spot of heavy dry grass that is a springy type of material etc. The driver pointed out to me it had a broken bale in the same spot of the field 3 times almost side by side! We checked a few broken bales on the ground and some of the strings just came "untied" it seems and some there was still a loop on one end of the string. We adjusted tension,on the twine disc along with the bill hook. But it didn't seem to make any differance.
Also this side that is acting up the twine sticking out from the end of the knot is a bit shorter compared to the other side.
This baler is in good working order otherwise last year it worked trouble free when it came to knotters.
Any idea's I'm going to look it over in the morning.
