Maybe I should rephrase that. OK, here's the situation. A young man I am acquainted with turned 16. He's so proud of this accomplishment he put a photo of his driver's license on Facebook. I sent him a message You REALLY need to delete the copy of your driver's license you posted on Facebook. While you have reason to be proud of it you need to keep personal security in mind. You have given a LOT of information away to someone wanting to steal your identity. His response was "How?" I thought he meant how do you delete it, but his question really was "How does someone steal my identity?"How would you respond? And am I being a bit paranoid or is this really a concern? |
