Ohio | Posted a couple of days ago about purchasing a Metabo chop saw, from Amazon. When the unit arrived , it was a european model made for 240 volt. Went back and reread the original ad and no where did the add say anything about this particular model being 240 volt. Called Amazon to voice my displeasure and was told not a problem. Went on line , followed the directions to return. Dropped the unit off at UPS at 5:45 PM yesterday. At 8:00 PM yesterday recieved an e-mail from Amazon my account would be reimbursed within 1-2 days. Was close to cutting the plug off and rewireing with an North American plug, Dairyman 78 posted they had had one and it failed in no time. That pretty much sealed its fate with me and back it went. Thanks to all on NAT. The sharing of knowledge gained with others is what makes this site so valuable. | |
