Subject: Power Line right a way question?

Central Kansas
In today's mail, I received a letter and map from Westar Energy (a large electrical company here in Kansas) that they will build a large power line on or near some property I own. There will be a informational meeting in December when we will learn more. Question I have is what would a land owner expect as payment for damages, PITA for farming around it and I guess a lifetime right of way lease for the area that the line would occupy?

Never had this happen to me or to my parents when they were living, so all of this is new to me. From you that have experienced this, would it be $$$ in the bank OR a royal "you know what"?

Just don't know what to expect.
