I have been surfing the internet and decided to look at the cover crop crimpers you can pull through a field to form a thick mat of dead residue so no pesticide has to be applied. They say you can plant right into mats of residue up to 6" thick. How is that possible. Would the seed even reach the soil, and how would emergence be? Would love to know. Thanks
