nw/nc iowa on the banks of West Buttrick Creek..

How do you interpurate soil samples when the soil conditions are so very dry here in NC Iowa.  Tests came back showing low K.  Coop guy says that you get low K readings in dry years.  We have had 4 inches of rain since August.   Rented farm, don't want to mine the farm but yet don't want to over do.  I own a farm across the road and probably over apply at home, low fert rented farm is usually equal on beans and five bu short on corn, sooo high fert isn't really paying its way.  Good tax write off and long term investment tho.  I feel that we are buying dollar for dollar the last ten bushels of corn.  A 95% job is good enough.
