Subject: tub feeding in my fancy bunks this evening (pic )

Casey IL. ( I -70 ) then south on rt.49

The first four pic are of filling the cut out tires. The last one is a pic. of some of my fall calves. ( right at 2 months old )
I am feeding rye and molasses Tell me I think this is good .
Two bales of ground rye hay a week, 1 bale ground alfalfa in with the rye hay and 3 bales of grass hay free choice in rings. 5 # of ground shelled corn daily with rye in it so there is not a lot of grain , ( they just think so )
There is 26 cows and 10 fall calves
To me they seem to be really growing and the cows are staying in good condition.
I am thinking of expanding my cow herd by feeding this ration yr. around and not using any more pasture than I already have.
