All of a sudden I'm getting calls from people that can't send emails. Both of these are on Windstream Internet. On the one I created a new account that was identical to the default account. It worked just fine. There was no difference in ports, user name or password. I even edited the original account to make certain nothing had been changed but it wouldn't work and kept giving a error messge regarding smtp at the sever. That was a Windows 7 machine and only a month old. Tomorrow a guy is dropping off an XP machine with the same problem. He can't send. At first he couldn't get on the Internet. I had him shut off the modem and the computer. Then i had him turn on the modem and after it was up I had him boot up the computer. That worked to get him on the Internet and receive mail but he still can't send. |
