Morris, IL | Looking to do some grain handling with only single phase power. Getting true 3 phase is out of the question, $250,000+. We have to run another 1000' line and converter but if we do that we can have all the single phase power we need. I guess what i'm looking for is a dummy lesson on phase converters. I know it's possible to use them but don't know a thing on how they work. I was under the assumption you put one in next to converter and can use it for what ever you want. Been doing some reading on them and it looks more like you need one for every motor, is that correct? I was thinking we could put a phase converter for the amps we decide on and what ever it gets used for is ok from fans, augers, stir-ator,spreader, and maybe blower system and dryer in the future.
Thanks in advance guys.
