Subject: Korean Bearings

oshawa, ontario
So, just got our brand new Valmar 7600 fertalizer spreader. Went out to spread fert on wheat and went around the field two times and back and forth once and that was all for the day. Bearing on the fan motor let go. Took it apart and found quality korean bearings were used on a $65 000 machine. Wouldn't you at least use chinese bearings? Luckily bearings were in stock at out bearing guy 30 minutes away and they're NSK's (made in USA). I just don't get why manufacturers are cheeping out in stupid ways. It's a great spreader and its working great now, but crap like that is frustrating. Anyone else in the same boat.
