Central Texas Panhandle | Wanting more top saw speed out of my super early 7460. At idle with no load it runs 225 and wide open throttle no load it runs 625. I try to keep it above 600 but in tough spots when the buggy is waiting on me I push it a little and my alarm is set at 590. I thought they were supposed to run up around 640-50. Haven't really been concerned in the past because my support equipment can't keep up as it is, when in good cotton. Stripping some ~3 bale cotton now so I wait a lot and think about what to change. On our 7455's I changed the drive sheave on the side of the gearbox to get more speed but didn't think that was an option here as my pulley measures the same as a 2011 7460. Is there something available to get me a little more speed other than speeding the engine up (some guys around here used to do that but I don't see it much anymore)?
