Subject: Difference between 6103 and 8103 Terragators

Adair, IA
Currently run 1603 and 1803 floaters for spreading dry fertilizer mostly and some lime with New Leader spinner boxes, possibly looking to upgrade to 6103 or 8103 chassis. Literature that I found shows nearly no difference between 6103 and 8103, mainly 25 horsepower, some lighting and the 8103 has two pumps on transmission, not sure about that significance. Weight difference between two is only about 200 pounds so differences must be minimal. Is this actually the case?

With the motor being different only in hp rating, could 6103 be chipped to make up difference? Would be using chassis only, one I'm looking at comes with 1800 gallon wet system, is this of any resale value other than scrap?

Thank you in advance for any replies!
