Subject: Feasible distance from buying station

Packing house closed down a few years back, closest buyer station is 120 miles away now. Not many other hog farms in the area (west central MO) I’m guessing this is for a reason. How ill advised would running 600-1200 head feeder-finish hogs be being this far away? I know most of the counties with the highest production have packers / stations in county and close. I am not looking for a “hog barns are too expensive to make any money” argument. These would be owned hogs, not contracts.
Thanks for any and all info.
