west central illinois | Got the head off the 2188 today found a valve seat had fallen off onto the piston so it looks like ill need an overhaul, new head and a turbo so it was alot worse than I had thought![]() but life goes on. good thing we still have the 2388 to finish with or I would be alot more stressed out. also have some pics of the bridge we have to cross to get to the elevator its one of the last few bridges where their is a bridge tender that rides the bridge up and down I was waiting on a barge to go thru and thought I would take some pics. The crane and track hoe are putting in a new concrete bumper that protects the bridge from the barges hitting it. We have had 4 barges hit the bridge in the last year, the last one pushed the bumper into the bridge and had to be replaced.
