NC IA | We are looking to trade tractors and would also like to get into the GPS/Auto Steer thing at the same time.
We are considering:
MX270 or MX285 OR JD8310 or JD8410
We have a Ag leader Insight Yield Monitor in our JD9600 combine....
Assume neither of the above tractors have a steer kit, what would one be best to go with??? CIH's are the cheaper tractor to buy from we are finding, so that makes us favor the red tractor... Having a hard time going green when price, and already haveing the INSIGHT makes it so much cheaper.... What are we not thinking about?
Should we go red, use the INSIGHT Monitor with Trimble Auto Pilot and put a steer kit on the tractor???
What is a steer kit for a MX?
How much does the Trimble Auto Pilot cost to use through the INSIGHT monitor?
What other components will we need?
