far south central iowa | Took these this morning. Planted middle of June and had a lot of rain first few weeks after planting that slowed it down more than I would of thought. Thankfully September and first part of October was abnormally warm. Still have some tillers and a patch I replanted July 6th that's just starting to turn, but thinking I'm going to beat the frost. None in the current forcast for the next 10 days. Farms I have in milo this year have heavy deer and racoon pressure is why I didn't go to corn on them. And they are thinner soils. Plants are still really green, flew priaxor and insecticide on at heading.
