Subject: Pearl Millet Silage Tonnage

We drilled Pearl Millet around July 29th in West Central Illinois. Got some nice rains since then and the millet is waist high now. Plan as of now is to chop this fall for silage. My questions for guys that have done this in the past is how does the silage quality compare to corn silage? What stage did you chop at? And what kind of tonnage per acre can we expect?
