| How are non insured acres accounted for as USDA final yield assessment? Maybe not enough acres are uninsured to matter? Or do they just assume that non insured acres have same production as insured? (Seems like that could be a poor assumption). I know that we can never truly know the yield, but if the insured acres are accounted for correctly, by the time those are reported and aph figures locked in, they probably have pretty good data at least on those acres. Are there enough uninsured acres to matter, and is there enough uncertainty in the data for those acres to cause the grain inventory calculations to be off? | |
