Subject: Managing Potash in the root zone.

South Central Illinois

Potash is more mobile than Phosphorus.
Our soils, with CEC’s around 10 with a range from 8-12, are somewhat problematic.
Heavy rains are said to move it deeper than the soil probe normally goes.
Is there a way to quantify how much of this has happened or will happen?
What is the best way to move it back into the soil probe area?
Just let the corn and soybeans go find it?
Use Cover Crops to bring it up?
