Subject: Sons 4-h calves out. Need advice

Wheelersburg and Lancaster, Ohio
He left the gate open. They ran trough some thick woods, very thick brush, and ended up in the neighbors corn. They very quickly became wild. Been two weeks now. This neighbor has the biggest fields around here, mostly 100+ acres. Not much for open area between fields. We have a corral set up but can’t seem to be there when they come in every other day or so. I have sweet feed, their normal feed, salt blocks hay and water in the corral. I’ve Been sleeping in the truck hoping to hear them come in so I can close the gate. Any other ideas. Fields are so big it seems impossible to run them out. Advice on how to get a 13 year old to realize how serious his mistake was also appreciated.
Two calves and there is water at each end of the farm. About a mile each way. Hoping they stay in the middle near the temporary corral.
I guess I should have added this isn’t at my farm in extreme southern Ohio. I live closer to Lancaster. In case someone looks on google maps.
