Subject: Cattle Rubs catching fire

Princeton, Indiana
Last year I attached a cattle rub to a hay wagon so we could move it as we move the cows. It was in part of the pasture that no one could see or really get to and it mysteriously burned to the ground. We finally decided it was a lightning strike, as was no sign that anyone had been screwing around there.

So I added a pipe frame to another wagon this summer. It held a rub on each side of the wagon, I noticed the other day that one of the rubs was broke, then I noticed that one of the tires was burnt. This was right behind Dad’s house. The only thing I can come up with is both of the rubs spontaneously combusted and caught fire. Has anyone else seen this or am I just lucky? We were using permethrin and Dollar Store cooking oil
