Southern Iowa | We have a lab monitor with a 2g modem that will send out text alerts form alarms and allow us to send us a status text to the modem to get current conditions of the machine.
We are using a prepaid tmobile sim card that was working great until about 2 weeks ago. Imadsed more money to the prepaid card and all was good.
Last week the modem quit sending the texts as it should. After 3hrs on phone with tmobile they said account was all good and wanted to send a text to confirm, took 2 hrs to make them understand stand there is no way to receive texts.
Is it the device that turns the sim card into 2g or does the sim card need to be 2g.
The vendor told me any sim card would work, but would only use 2g service
Can someone explain this to me in Ag Talk style? | |
