| I was cutting hay and when I got done I went to shut the pto off and couldn't. Took about 5 minutes of messing with it to shut it off. The knob lifts good to turn it on so I wouldn't think it would be stuck.
I had talked to an old time mechanic and he suggested turning the pto on then shutting the tractor off to see if it disengaged any easier. He said if the pto didn't slip he wouldn't think the clutches are bad, figure that if the pto disengaged while the tractor was off it would indicate adjustment issues. As luck would have it, she turns off easy when the power is off. The mechanic said he has no more info that could help me. Is there a way to adjust these? I have the tech manual and am fairly mechanical but feel this is above my skill without guidance. Any advice?
