| Instead of stealing lots of wanted items and then stockpiling them in one area to sell, thieves are minimizing the amount of time in which stolen items are in their possession. They go around looking for potential items in plain view and then take photos of the item. It is then advertised as if they are the owner and then wait for a buyer. Once a committed buyer comes forward the thief then steals the item and quickly sells it. This way they are only in possession of stolen property for a brief amount of time. | |
