Subject: How deep is to deep for milo

far south central iowa
Going to start planting milo today. It's drier than I care for (week ago was complaining it was to wet). We have good moisture underneath but have an inch or so hard crust. Planted last few fields of beans close to 2 inches to get most to moisture. Normally plant milo around 1.5 inches, would it be detrimental to plant at 2 inches to get most of them in to moisture? Forcast is hot, low 90s for highs and not much rain in the forcast. Kinze 2600, planning on planting around 100k in 15 inch rows
