I’d like to 3D print some meter components. Could replace them every other year fir the cost savings. Getting a CAD file is my struggle. Sure hope 3D scanner tech comes down in price, saw a setup I liked but it was $8k.


A lot of things are faster to just redraw than to scan. And you can scan for free with a number of options out there. Something dimensional like a seed plate is easier/better/faster to draw from scratch. I made some with blanks last fall for someone. Less than 2hrs in F360 and both pieces were ready to print.
