Yes but are those blacks angus or just black. That’s the part I’m so opposed too, unless it’s changed when it goes through the slaughter house more than 50% black and it’s Certified Angus Beef!!! That should be against the law as far as I’m concerned. Also you got to realize most of the breeding effects of the last 30 years have been in black hided cattle. Hereford just set around and got run over by them. Which now I find funny that Angus breed has kinda shot it’s self in the foot because EVERY breed is now black lol.
Heck I’ve heard a black nose qualifies as “angus.” I know a dairy farmer who laughed that when he shipped a semi load of his home raised Holstein steers, the check came and the ticket said “33 Holstein, 2 Angus.”
I agree that all black cattle aren’t created the same. But just about any commercial herd that I’ve seen can put a quality registered Angus bull in and produce good feeder cattle. And mostly black.
