Whenever I compose an email, the display font says 12 (which is a good setting for me) BUT the darn actual display when I'm writing the email is about a 2.  Maybe not that bad, but it's really, really hard to read.  When the email is sent, it displays fine on the recipient's screen.  Received emails display normally.  
  How do I change the display on the Mac while writing emails?  (I think I'm using Outlook.)
