Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
This isn't an answer to shifting your AB lines within JD OPS but is an alternative that I use with my Ag Leader systems without using SMS. My approach is probably obvious but might be helpful to someone who hasn't thought of it.

I have a set of AB lines that represent the property lines or the "edges of each field. There may be just one or several depending on the situation. Each AB line is named such that it is easily identified as which "side" it represents.. I am careful never to delete these AB lines. They were made with the highest accuracy GPS receiver we have.

Any one of these AB property lines can be used as a base line in different ways. I might chose the line and then ask the system to shift it a certain distance toward the field. This will create a set of AB guidance lines that can be used for an operation such as planting. Another approach is to chose a line and then pull in where I want my first pass to be and then cause the system to "shift to that point". In either case a new set of AB lines is created at the location I desire. The "revised" AB base line could be saved for the future. If so name it appropriately. This process could be repeated on our "edges" of the field as desired.

So in the situation you describe, I might have shifted the base Property line AB a certain distance to the left last year This year I could shift the base Property line that distance plus an additional 15" to the left.

At times, I have shared this AB property line with a neighbor who also uses Ag Leader auto steer. This is easily done since I just "save" the AB line on a USB stick in my Ag Leader display, remove the USB stick, hand to him and he saves this AB line to his Ag Leader display. From then on that base line is available in both displays for whatever use the operator desires.

I shift the AB property line a certain distance toward my field. This is commonly half my planter width. He uses the same AB property line but shifts the AB line half his planter width toward his side. This usually results in a nice even parallel gap between the two fields.
