I say not to buy the land. About everything is overvalued now, and cash is king. I would be selling stocks now, and paying some tax. If you buy a poor piece of ground, you are stuck with it, and you won't have much cash coming in. Trees and wasteland aren't going to bring in any money, plus you have to spend money to make it able to produce something.
