Mississippi Delta		One reason for a heat exchanger is if your pump stops pumping water, there is no water going into the engine. Also, some of our water is so high in iron if you ran it straight into the engine, by the end of the season you'd have a mess. With a heat exchanger, you can have antifreeze circulating through the block instead of raw water.
