South Central Kansas | Better than average. If the wheat looked good from the combine, it was good. We had just enough timely rains here in south centray Kansas to finish it. A rain a week sooner may have saved 5 bu per acre.
Overall I was pleased with yield and seed quality. Test weights all above 60.8 and up to 63.
It was really hard to pin down how good the wheat was 10 days before harvest. A late rain really helped. | |
