(2) Communion is NOT for those who know that they are in sin & want to continue it: it is for the REPENTANT: John said in his first epistle:” Let NO man say he is without sin”. As long as we are in this flesh, we are capable of sin. Being of a repentant nature, means we choose to turn away from our old nature & embrace Christ-nature to the best of our ability, obeying the Living Word as the scripture opens up( revelation) to us. Most think of sin as the worldly/carnal stuff: that is only part of it. We are commanded to “ Pray without ceasing”: I Thessalonians 5
We are commanded to pray for the sick( Mark 16): AND THEY WILL BE HEALED. We are commanded to cast out demons: no argument: just do it: it is NOT for a special few: EVERYONE is elevated to sainthood: “ We are seated in heavenly places by Christ Jesus”: either we are-or we are not. Christianity is NOT a religion: it is a RELATIONSHIP. When the Bible say that “ God knows those who are His”, it is defining an actual RELATIONSHIP-not brain thought, belief, or religion.
Yes, ALL Christians have a “ belief” system: all humans do,-BUT; as stated above, Christianity is acRELATIONSHIP.
That means there” should be” actual give-and-take communication between Heavenly Father & His children on earth: just as the Bible shows-front to back: it is NOT for a chosen few. The sad thing is that most churches do not teach their people how to have this intimacy: it is here for everyone. | |
