WCMO-SWMO Area | Well,the Royals retuned to their old form last night losing 6-2..Lange gave up 5 runs in the 8th inning..Tyler Tolbert went 0-3 but did make a great catch..
One reason we went to the Royals game in May was that we wanted to see the stadium one last time..My wife is in too poor of health to ever attend another game there..I went to one of the very early games there back in April 1973 when it first opened..It cost practically nothing to sit behind home plate back then...I too dont like the idea of the new down town stadium...
I was also at one of the very last games that the KC A's ever played at old Municipal Stadium...I got to see Reggie Jackson in his rookie year...I have never gotten over Finley moving the A's to Oakland in 1968..They had a great team in the making and went on to win the WS in 1972-73-74... | |
