NW Missouri | Yes, that's another whole issue. I am very against a new stadium. Kauffman isn't new and shiny, but it's still a very nice ballpark (I've been to about half of them). Easy to get in and out of for people coming from further away, etc. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago that it was refurbished. But now supposedly the concrete is "crumbling". Lol, isn't that convenient.
The new owner wants his own new ballpark, and he wants the taxpayers to pay for as much of it as he can get away with. It's going to happen - just a matter of when. I used to go to a lot of games, and had a 21 game plan for several years. At this point I just watch them in HD at home for way less time and money. Probably go to a game once every other year. So it's not going to have a huge impact on me. It just seems ridiculous - especially with the product they put on the field. | |
