Northwest IOWA | Thank you! This car sat with no motor in it for almost 50 years.It came w a 325 Poly V8 ,sitting on an old pallet. We tore it down , it had been overhauled once already as the rod caps had been stamped.We discovered it had spun rod and main bearing damage. We decided to get a 361 V8 out of a 63 Chrysler with a 3 speed automatic and stuff it under the hood. Still alot of interior work to do, but its been a great project to do with Grandson. Had some help from several friends neighbors, and son and son in law. The car itself only shows 31000 miles , Grandson is starting trade school this fall, and now is already talking about someday finding a 70s Duster or Dart as project #2 - | |
