I don’t know that I have ever had a purplehull pea. Are they more like a bean than the English or sweet pea that we grow here in the north?
My English peas are just getting started blooming so depending on the weather it will be a couple of weeks before I start picking. I just got most of my sweet corn patch hoed. After the ten inches of rain in June the ground has an incredibly hard crust on the top that made the job harder than normal. I will have to go back as I’m sure I missed some weeds. | |
