We also had a MT865C which had the C18 Acert. Of course the 955 had the C15.
It always amazed me that the spec weight of the engines were almost identical and the dimensions same only the C18 an inch taller ( Cat literature spec page). They had the same bore with the 18 having slightly longer stroke to get the additional displacement. We had our 955 turned up to 500 and didn't seem to struggle at all. Put a boost pressure gauge and the boost went up a little and proportionately as expected.
