West Central MN | Back around 2010-11 (memory is fuzzy), lead the team that was working on the C18 Tier 4F powered MT800E. While at a meeting in Jackson, we found out AGCO had decided to develop their own in-house V12 engine.
There are definitely people on the Caterpillar side that would have liked a do-over on how we handled that news and in hindsight, suspect the same on the AGCO side as well. Not sure how that ultimately would have played into the longer term Fendtification of the product.
